A great ride on a smart colt saw Bennett Racing 2yo Zou Sensation win on debut at Murray Bridge Saturday. Its always with a little bit of apprehension that you travel a 2yo interstate for their debut but he big Zoustar colt travelled over to South Australia on Thursday night and never missed a beat while there.
Kept short in the betting, leading rider Barend Vorster settled the colt outside the leader after jumping well. Taking over on the turn Zou Sensation lived up to his name powering away in the run home to win easily. A big powerful striding colt Zou Sensation really gave Barend a trouble free ride. The race was a good find for the colt by Troy who aided by Dom Suttons belief in the colt that he could travel over without any fuss.
The colt has always been a trouble free 2yo and had shown good ability from day one, he has a great nature and very easy to deal with.
Another son of our favourite stallion Zoustar, Zou Sensation is from the stakes winning mare Dame Claire and he becomes our 4th Zoustar winner from 4 runners more importantly ALL of them have been metro class including the Group winners The Astrologist and Zou Dancer.
Zou Sensation was yet another Magic Millions purchase for Bennett Racing, bought out off the Widden Draft for 150k.
Congratulations to all owners in this colt he certainly looks to have a bright future ahead.
