Last weeks Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale once again highlighted the worth in nicely bred fillies with residual value when selling off the track. For Bennett Racing the Sale has proven a Goldmine for the last two years selling a total of 7 mares off the track. Last week Zou Dancer realised 600k through the ring, Royal Obsession a fantastic 230k, La Croft 90k and Hot In Paris a slightly disappointing 30k at the sale.
The real story behind all of these sales are as follows.
The 7 mares were purchased for a total outlay of 690k and won between them just over 930k on the track. More rewarding for their owners is they returned an unbelievable 1.735 million through the sale ring!
There has never been a more opportune time to invest in fillies with good pedigrees and if they can deliver on the track, the returns as future broodmares can be highly rewarding.
This sales season we made a conscious effort to tick all boxes with our fillies and type and pedigrees were foremost.
