She may have been the only filly in the race but Street Delight was brave and strong at Ballarat on
Sunday. Running in the rich 175k VOBIS Eureka Stockade 1400m against the boys and with Brett
Prebble in the saddle, Street Delight belied her odds with a game run. The filly jumped ok and was
stoked up by Brett to hold a position but as Brett reported the filly seemed to look around so he
elected to let her find her feet and settle 2nd last. Taking off early on the home turn, the filly was
brave hitting the front 100m out but was headed close to home by her stable mate who had the gun
run behind the leaders on the rail.
Street Delight has certainly found form after a couple of indifferent runs this time in and put the
writing on the wall with a strong 2nd last start to Saturdays race fav. Beaten only 0.75L on Saturday
she finished over 2L ahead of last season's 1Mil Showdown winner.
Taking her earnings to over 120k now, Street Delight who was a 2yo Metro winner as a 2yo as well
