Smart 3yo Foxwedge Filly GOLDIFOX, resumed at Moonee Valley with a nice 3rd over 1200m. 1st up since July, the last start Stakes Place getter went in not fully wound up as she is still on a possible path to the Magic Millions 3yo Guineas on Jan 12th. Goldifox had trialled nicely at Flemington and on the basis of her 3 consecutive City Placings, was well favoured, even though 1200m is short of her preferred distance.
Caught out early she went back for cover and in a race devoid of pace, she was always chasing from well back. As usual, she gave her all and chased hard but couldn’t catch the leaders on a track favouring front runners.
All looks promising heading to her next start probably over 1400m.
