Big pedigree update coming from USA Sunday morning with the stakes win of 2yo filly Junipermarshmallow who is a 1/2 sister to Bennett Racings Miss Countessa (FR).
Making just her 2nd race start in the Listed Wait A While Stks after an easy debut win, the Todd Pletcher 2yo filly was forced on a 3 wide run throughout on the Gulfstream Park turf mile course. The filly was in good rhythm throughout and when asked the question put the field away easily.
No mean feat to win a stakes at your 2nd start and Junipermarshmallow was instantly put in the market for the Gr1 Kentucky Oaks next May.
As mentioned she is a 2yo filly by leading USA sire Quality Road and a 1/2 sister to Miss Countessa (Fr) both descendants of the champion racehorse Miesque.
Being from one of the world’s best families and a direct descendant from a Blue Hen mare the stakes win by Junipermarshmallow certainly helps add value to Miss Countessa (FR).
