Bennett Racing 4yo Blazerro is certainly proving to be not only an honest customer but also very
unlucky as last Saturdays run at Murray Bridge showed. The Pierro gelding jumped well under Kayla
Crowther but found himself behind the leader on the rail and travelling comfortably. On
straightening Kayla, having a lap full of horse underneath her, was desperately searching for a way
out. The gap didn't appear until well into the straight and Blazerro kept coming on the line to be
beaten under 1/2 Len for 3rd. The gelding is going very well and with a bit of luck could have won at
least 2 of his last 3 runs and has really hit is straps again since relocating to Phil's Morphettville
Stables. Under Tommy's care he has placed in all of his last 3 runs all at Metro level.
The 3rd placing took Blazerro's record to 15 starts for 1 win 4 2nds & 4 3rds with prizemoney now
exceeding 145k.
A wonderfully consistent galloper Blazerro was a 120k Magic Millions purchase from the Newgate
Draft and has placed in 8 (7 at Metropolitan level!) of his 12 runs since winning his maiden in July
last year.
