ABOUT STAY INSIDE X TURBO MISS
This colt was a MUST HAVE from the time we saw him at the farm in December. He sire Stay Inside has started off in terrific fashion with 2 stakeswinners already ! and with his sons already doing well at stud Stay Inside being a Gr1 Golden Slipper winner could very well be his best !
The colts dam was a Group winner and by Gr1 Golden Slipper winner Sebring – a really great sire here in Australia and an emerging broodmare sire as well ! The key though to this pedigree is the fact that there are already two very good sires under the 2nd dam. Firstly Turbo Miss is a ½ sister to the very good sire Russian Revolution, a son of Snitzel and Grandson of the mighty Redoutes Choice – breed shaper ! Turbo Miss is also a 1/2 sister to the dam of Gr1 winning exciting 1st crop sire HOME AFFAIRS !The colt is a great grandson of Redoutes Choice ! Further into the pedigree we can see such outstanding Australian Champion sires as Encosta De Lago and Flying Spur !
Of course pedigree is but one part, the other is of course physical. This colt fills the eye with quality ! A magnificent type very similar to his great damsire in the World wide Champion Sire More Than Ready – who incidentally just happens to be Southport Tycoons damsire ! The colts shoulder, pastern and gaskin angles are all true and all the same with a good deep girth that leads into a well sprung ribcage. This colt powers across the ground effortlessly and driven by his triple muscled hindquarter.
The colt is truly the epitome of an outstanding type combining type, movement and pedigree power.
Who better to train than Ciaron Maher.

STAY INSIDE COLT DIRECT DESCENDANT OF BLUE HEN MARE WINDY ANSWER
Windy Answer is a significant blue hen mare in thoroughbred breeding, particularly within the Windfields Farm line, and is the ancestress of several prominent stallions and influential broodmares. Stallions descended from the influential Canadian broodmare Windy Answer (1955–1975) include several champion racehorses and leading sires in the Thoroughbred world. As a foundation “Blue Hen” mare, her descendants primarily trace through her daughters, most notably Ciboulette and Fanfreluche.
Prominent stallions descended from the Windy Answer line include:
Encosta de Lago: A multiple champion Australian sire and one of the most successful stallions in the Southern Hemisphere. Encosta De Lago sired the ill – fated Champion 1st Crop Sire Northern Meteor who in turn sired Champion Sire ZOUSTAR
Flying Spur: An Australian champion sire and Golden Slipper winner.
Brazen Beau: A top-class Australian sprinter and Group 1 winner who stands as a stallion for Darley. Brazen Beau has in turn sired the very good sire in Tassort. Interesting that Brazen Beau damsire Snaadee is also a descendant of Windy Answer .
Holy Roman Emperor: A prominent international sire and Group 1-winning two-year-old.
Night Shift: A leading sire in Europe, responsible for champions like Azamour and In the Groove.
L’Enjoleur: A Canadian Horse of the Year and successful sire.
Medaille d’Or: A champion two-year-old in Canada and sire.
Snaadee: A successful sire in Australia and sire of the dam of Brazen Beau.
Kheleyf: A Group 1-producing sire in the UK.
Archregent: A notable sire in Australia and North America. Sired amongst others All Archie and damsire of Takeover Target & Regal Cheer.
Family Ties: A Group 1 winner and sire.
Successfully raced in Canada as a two-year-old, at age three Fanfreluche’s performances in both Canada and the United States earned her the Sovereign Award for Canadian Horse of the Year. Fanfreluche was voted American Champion Three-Year-Old Filly in 1970. Retired to stud at 3yo she was bred to notable stallion Buckpasser, in 1972 she produced the two-time Canadian Horse of the Year and Hall of Fame inductee L’Enjoleur. She also produced two other champions, La Voyageuse and Medaille d’Or. She has numerous stakes-winning descendants worldwide, including Australian stars Encosta de Lago, Flying Spur and Holy Roman Emperor.
FRANFRELUCHE – INTERESTING SIDELIGHT
On June 25, 1977, while in foal to Champion Secretariat, Fanfreluche was abducted from Claiborne Farm near Paris, Kentucky. In December, five months after her disappearance, the FBI located her 158 miles south near the small town of Tompkinsville, not far from the Tennessee border. Fanfreluche was being kept by a family who said they had found her wandering along the country road. Returned safely to Claiborne Farm, in the spring of 1978 Fanfreluche gave birth to her foal, a colt given the French language name “Sain Et Sauf”, which in English translates as Safe And Sound.
ENCOSTA DE LAGO – AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION SIRE
Encosta de Lago became one of the most sought after sires in Australia and in 2006 his service fee increased to $176,000. He travelled to Coolmore Stud in Ireland, for part of the Northern Hemisphere breeding season, from March 2007 until August 2007 when he served 66 mares. He was the Leading sire in Australia in 2007–08 and 2008–09; and second in 2005–06 and 2006–07. In 2008 Encosta de Lago’s service fee rose to $302,500.
FLYING SPUR – AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION SIRE

He sired over 1,000 individual winners, including 99 stakes winners and 14 Group 1 winners.
A MAGICAL CROSS – A 20/20 MATCH
A 20/20 Match means that a proposed mating has two or more successful Graded Stakes Winners with over 20 shared ancestors within five generations. The Similarity Score shows how closely each stakes winner matches this mating, giving a strong indicator of success. Only 45% of matings achieve this level, making it a valuable marker.
