What a fantastic debut by IRVING LIPSCHITZ in Singapore on Friday night. Raced in Partnership by Bennett Racing and Perry Sambor, Irving is our 1st International Runner and his performance shows him to be a most promising 3yo.
Trained by Hall of Fame Trainer Lee Freedman, Irving was sent out favourite on the back of an impressive trial. Jumping well from a middle gate, Irving settled 2nd behind THE BIG EASY and they stayed in this order into the straight. The leader gave a good kick and moved 3 lengths ahead of Irving inside the last 200m. Irving proved his gameness by chasing hard and on the line was rapidly overhauling the leader only to fall a neck short. The race caller described his finish as ‘finishing like a train’. His Last 400m sectional was the best for the race in 22.95. Lee had suggested pre race he felt the 1200m might be a tad short and this proved correct. Very excited about what’s in store for this 3yo son of ANIMAL KINGDOM.
