Bennett Racing 4yo mare Beauty Rising claimed her 2nd metropolitan win when easily winning at Morphetville on Saturday. The mare, who had been winless since her 2yo win at Sandown 1/3/23, appreciated the slight drop in class and good ride by Kayla Crowther to win running away by 2 Len.

Beauty Rising jumped well and Kayla found herself in the one out one back position throughout. The mare travelled sweetly and was full of running turning for home. Kayla released the brakes and soon after the mare put the race away easing down on the line.

The return to form vindicated the decision to send the mare back to her original trainer Phillip Stokes after a fruitless campaign under Annabel Neasham in NSW which yielded a lone placing. It was the mares 2nd run back under Phillips care after her 1stup run for the stable where she over raced. On Saturday the mare relaxed well for Kayla and never gave her backers any cause for concern with the ease of the win indicating she could quite easily go through her grades in South Australia and possibly realise the stakes potential she had always shown.

The win took Beauty Rising’s overall record to 12 starts, 2 – 3 – 0 $100,250 and now boasting wins at Sandown, Morphettville and placings at Flemington & Moonee Valley.

A daughter of top sire Deep Field, Beauty Rising was a 160k purchase at the 2022 MM Gold Coast Yearling Sale from her breeders Kingstar Farm. A well bred mare, Beauty Rising is a full sister to Gr3 Tiara Stks placed Ningaloo Star, ¾ sister to Bennett Racing’s Gr3 Blue Diamond Prelude & Mc Niel Stks placed Stay Focused, ½ sister to Gr2 South Australian Fillies Classic placed Miss Moana, ½ sister to Listed Geelong Classic placed Hollywood Mo and 7 time winner Bennett Racing’s Apache Star.

Congratulations to all owners in Beauty Rising who have shown great patience with the mare and thankyou to Phil & Tommy Stokes and their Teams for rejuvenating her career with promise of more to come.
