Lightly raced Bennett Racing mare Beauty Bound notched up a third win and second at metropolitan level when winning at Gawler’s Metro meeting on Saturday. The speedy daughter of Sebring jumped slow but Lochie Neindorf didn’t panic and allowed her to find her feet. Eventually settling back in the 1100m dash, Lochie bided his time and on straightening waited for gaps to appear. Manoeuvring through the field he saved the mare for one last sprint to the line, grabbing the lead in the shadows of the post to win by a neck.

Beauty Bound has found her niche. She is settling better in the run, can switch on and off throughout and can produce a withering run to the line. She seems to be enjoying her racing now and in 5 starts in South Australia has netted over 71k with 2 wins, 2 2nds and one unplaced unlucky effort vindicating her move to Phillip Tommy Stokes Adelaide Stables. A model of consistency the mare may go for a short break and possibly look at some lower level Listed sprints for mares in South Australia. Her overall record now stands at Career: 12 starts, 3 – 4 – 0 $103,160.

Beauty Bound is a daughter of Champion sire Sebring and was a 110k purchase at the 2021 Gold Coast March Yearling sale buy from her breeders Lyndhurst Farm at Warwick. She is the 5th winner for the Secret Savings mare Bella Vedera who as you would know is also the dam of a real Bennett Racing favourite in Goldifox. Bella Vedera is a ½ sister to Bennett Racing’s metro winning Royal Obsession and the very smart Group winning filly Twilight Royale dam of Snitzel filly Serasana who won the Gr2 Sandown Guineas. This family has always been represented by some very high prices in the Sales ring.

Congratulations to all owners in Beauty Bound and special thankyou to Phillip Tommy Stokes and their Teams for getting the best out of Beauty Bound once again.
