Bennett Racing’s pin up girl GOLDIFOX, returned to her favourite track Flemington on New Years Day and she proved way too classy for a decent field of fillies and mares.

Ridden for the first time by stable rider Dwayne Dunn, GOLDIFOX vindicated the faith Leon and Troy Corstens had in her ability to return to her best and dominate.

Blinkers went back on and Goldi was a little slow away – the genius of Dunn then kicked in and he let her slide through the field to take up a midfield spot one of the fence. Dunn had Goldi on a nice long rein and the sweet daughter of Foxwedge travelled kindly throughout. Ready to pounce in the straight, we finally had some luck. The ‘seas parted’ and Dunn riding confidently let the beautiful chestnut go through her gears and gather the field comfortably to run out a very impressive and dominant winner.

Massive congratulations to all the Owners, the wonderful team at Malua and Bennett Racings jockey Dwayne Dunn. Wonderful to share the victorious moment on track with so many happy owners.

Note: Goldifox’s close relation SUPERHARD, ran 3rd in the Gr3 Standish Handicap just 2 races earlier which further strengthened this very deep and impressive family.
