Although up in grade Bennett Racing 4yo Blazerro turned in another solid performance for 2nd at Murray Bridge on Friday.
The Pierro gelding was having his 4th start since moving over to Stokes Racing Morphettville Stables and under Tommy’s care he has been a model of consistency, placing in all 4 starts at metro level.
Kayla Crowther took the reins again on the spacious Murray Bridge track. The gelding jumped well again and after an early battle Kayla elected to take a sit one out one back. Again Blazerro travelled a little keen in patches but had the perfect position and pounced on the lead after straightening. The gelding tried hard to the line but was still giving the winner 4kgs and that probably made the difference from winning.
Another good effort and the placing took Blazerro’s record to 16 starts 1 win 5 2nds 4 3rds and over 155k in prizemoney.
Blazerro has been a good honest performer for his owners and given them many good thrills with 10 top 3 finishes in his 16 starts.
The Team will look at his options moving forward and a win should be just around the corner.
