What a win by our promising Foxwedge Filly La Croft.
Coming off her debut run for 2nd at Morphettville in December, she opened up an odds on pop.
She was very tardily away from the barriers but Barend Vorster didn’t panic and elected to let the free striding Foxwedge filly take a position 4 wide with cover. La Croft over-raced for the remainder until coming up to the turn for home and when Barend sent her forward to take over, she raced away to win with ease.
It was not a pretty win but the Filly certainly showed she has so much raw natural ability.
We will monitor her in the coming days before making any plans. Congratulations to all the very patient owners in this filly who has a bright future.
