Hello All,
Goldifox had her first start at Bendigo today…read report below. The Inglis Premier Yearling Sale is on from this Sunday-Wednesday at Oaklands Junction. We will be in attendance looking for that next good horse. 770 Lots go under the hammer and a high percentage are already fully VOBIS Qualified which is further incentive to try and grab one. Phil and Rick (Nathan was at the races with Goldifox) went out today and had a look at over 130 of the horses in the catalogue…one of which was the Written Tycoon x True Emotions Colt a Half Brother to our own Onehundred Percent. This attractive Chestnut Colt is pictured on the left.

Went to Bendigo today for her race track debut. Jumping from barrier 2 she was a little slow away but then mustered speed to sit just behind the leaders. Jockey Chris Symons then angled for a run in the straight which never fully came. She was very strong to the line and finished a close up 3rd…a very pleasing effort. The winner ZIZZIS was also on debut. She is by emerging young First Season Sire SIZZLING, just like our classy filly mentioned below.
Henry will monitor how she comes through the race before deciding on whether she should head over to Adelaide for the 2yo Magic Millions on March 12th. Hopefully with her placing today she makes the field. It’s a 1200m event worth $200K.
HORSE UPDATES:
ONEHUNDRED PERCENT: Is still at Rockmount and is currently undertaking a 3 week pre training cycle on the water walker. He is into his 2nd week of this.
OUR TONINICCONI: Continues to steadily increase her workload as she gears up towards a return to racing in Mid April. She is up to doing some ‘Even’ Time up the straight hill at Tony’s property which is very forgiving on horses legs.
GOLDIFOX: Had her first start at Bendigo today and ran wonderfully well. Goldi had trialled really well and expectations of a good run were very high. She didn’t disappoint and this grouse little filly finished a great 3rd. Depending on how she comes through the race, she could be off to the Adelaide Magic Millions 2yo Race in 12 days time at Morphettville.
ABSOLUT ARTIE: Has headed off to Wyuna for an 8 week break after his trial at Sandown last week. He came a long way this prep and certainly pleased Henry with the way he went about his work. He has shown good natural ability and we can certainly look forward to him returning after the autumn.
2yo NICCONI/DANTE’S FLAME FILLY: Matthew Smith reports this filly has developed more strength and done really well in her break. Will have another 2 weeks then back into work.
1yo NICCONI/BROOKTON HERITAGE FILLY: Up at Kiltanon Farm in the early stages of her education. We will have progressive updates on her as we go along.
1yo DECLARATION OF WAR/JEWEL VAULT FILLY: Also starting the all important first stages of her education.
1yo ZOUSTAR/AQUADA COLT: The Zoustar Colt has completed the first stage of his education at Kiltanon Farm and is now having a short break. His next stage will start soon and he will take in the next step of some work on the track.
1yo FOXWEDGE/CROFT FILLY: Continues in the initial educational phase which includes; desensitizing, mouthing with soft bit and driving the filly with long reins. Warren will soon move to saddling and riding the filly.
1yo SIZZLING/PARIS BLU FILLY: Our Sizzling Filly will soon begin her education. She has been having a rest after the rigours of the Gold Coast Sale and will be bright and fresh to begin her education soon.
